On the road by 10:00 AM we ride through the beautiful piedmont foothills crossing over the Yadkin River headed for the mountains of Western North Carolina. By now the foothills are getting higher and in about 3 hours we will be in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Wild but cultured may best describe the Blue Ridge/Asheville region. Here are not only the East’s highest mountains, highest waterfall and vast acreages of national forest, but also North Carolina’s state theater and the country’s largest private home.

The North Carolina Mountains are always a favorite tour because of the diversity of landscapes and the felling of freedom you get when riding through them. In the heart of North Carolina's Great Smoky Mountains is, Waynesville, Maggie Valley, The Cherokee Indian Reservation and The Cherokee Fall Rally.

Friday afternoon we will tour the museum “Wheels Through Time” in Maggie Valley NC. After a relaxing night, we head out in the cool crisp morning air to enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast and to get ready for another fantastic day of riding.
