Smoky Mountain Fall Foliage Tour

October 15-17, 2004

The Great Smoky Mountains --- Where America Comes To Play

This is our only Fall Foliage Tour Carolina Motorcycle Tours offers in 2004.
Don’t delay, make your reservations today.

Welcome to The Great Smoky Mountains and to CMT’S -- Smoky Mountain Fall Foliage Tour. Are you ready to spend three (3) days and two (2) nights touring the twisty mountain roads of Western North Carolina? Are you ready to enjoy the beautiful mountain colors and inhale the crisp mountain air?

If you like the beauty of the mountains, this tour is for you.

The Appalachians are the oldest mountain chain in North America and the Blue Ridge Parkway is the "Backbone" of the Appalachian mountain range. The parkway offers a high balcony from which to view the natural wonders of this magnificent mountain region. The Appalachians is home to some of the greatest motorcycling roads in the world. The numerous overlooks provide parking areas from which to enjoy some of America's finest scenic views.

This is one of my favorite sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway, “The North Carolina High Country”. This area is proud to feature some of the most photographed, most visited parts of the Parkway including Linn Cove Viaduct, Moses Cone Manor, Linville Falls, Biltmore Estates, the enchanted land of Cherokee and many, many, other historic spots. Just off the Parkway, you'll find an assortment of fun things to do, unique shops, comfortable lodgings and fine cuisine.

The Blue Ridge Parkway runs thought the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This road is especially good from Cherokee to Asheville NC, smooth, quiet, and scenic, nice curves and plenty of them.

Welcome to “The Blue Ridge Parkway” and Carolina Motorcycle Tours, Smoky Mountain Fall Foliage Tour. This is the perfect time to enjoy the Blue Ridge when the leaves should be at their peak.

Friday morning after we all meet for breakfast, we leave Greensboro NC around 10:00 AM going up I-40 toward Asheville, Maggie Valley / Waynesville NC. After we arrive at our host hotel we will visit “Wheels Through Time” a museum in Maggie Valley NC. Saturday morning we enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast before leaving at approximately 10:00AM. We head toward Bryson City and the historic attractions in the area including traveling the road that goes nowhere.
From there we make our way toward Cherokee NC. From Cherokee we travel the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, before enjoying a BBQ dinner.
Sunday after breakfast (9:00AM – 10:00AM) we enjoy the local area before departing.

Looking back, we hope you've just experienced something very special, whether it's riding the glorious mountains of Western North Carolina or the new friends you just made along the way.
